Here’s the latest tune from Whistling Treason, a reworking of an original composition, entitled Rising In The East. This tune has found its way into the repertoire of several of my bands, usually in a Bulgar style, but is here presented in dub.

New from Whistling Treason
First in a succession of new tunes for 2021, recorded during lockdown 2020. This one is a slice of rare old English Trad with a post-rave accompaniment. Boom!

Whistling Treason at The Barley Mow – Bath Folk Festival 2018
Very pleased to announce a rare Whistling Treason gig for Bath Folk Festival. Nell Farrally (Malarchy, RSVP) will be joining me on fiddle for what we’re calling an electro-acoustic performance. We’ll also be playing a load of blistering tune sets too, as well as many of the songs you might expect to hear. Yay!

RSVP video collaboration with South West Dance Theatre
Here’s a fun thing. RSVP collaborated with South West Dance Theatre on a video for their latest single “I Must”. Many thanks to Bristol Old Vic for allowing us to use their rehearsal studio whilst they were busy with their refit, and to Background Noise Productions for the camerawork and video production. Much appreciated!
The song is based around an original composition of mine called Mythern, the original of which has been recorded in a spacious, luxuriant style for my Whistling Treason project.
